What we collect, why, and what you can do about it. In plain English.

This website, sensiblesystems.co, is operated by nocodelife ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, trading as Sensible Systems ("we", "us", "our"). We are the data controller responsible for your personal data.
If you have any questions about this policy or your data, email us at our contact address.
This is a simple brochure site. It has no sign-up forms, no accounts and no advertising or tracking cookies. The only personal data we hold is what you choose to send us when you get in touch, plus the ordinary technical information involved in serving a web page.
When you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write in your message. We keep that correspondence so we can reply, and so we have a record of any work we discuss or carry out.
Like any website, ours is served over the internet, so our hosting provider automatically processes standard technical data such as your IP address and browser type in order to deliver the page and keep the service secure. This site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers to fetch them; that connection involves your IP address and is handled under Google's own privacy terms. We do not run analytics, advertising or third-party tracking scripts on this site.
Under the UK GDPR we rely on: your consent and our legitimate interests in responding to you when you contact us; the performance of a contract when we carry out work for you; and legal obligation where we are required to keep records, for example for tax.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for marketing. We do use a small number of trusted providers to run our business, and your data may pass through them purely so we can operate. These include our email and hosting providers and, where relevant, our accounting software. Each acts on our instructions under its own data-protection terms. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch. Records connected to work we have carried out, and to our accounts, are kept for as long as the law requires, typically at least six years. After that we delete or anonymise data we no longer need.
Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on providers that offer protections recognised under UK data-protection law, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
Under UK data-protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email us and we will respond within the timescales the law sets.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data-protection regulator, though we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
This site does not set its own cookies and does not use tracking or advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be made clear.
For anything to do with your data or this policy, email our contact address and address it to the attention of nocodelife ltd.
